Nova doesn't just help you write code. It helps your code actually run. You can easily create and execute tasks for your projects. We didn't have these in the Coda application, but now they are fully available. These are customizable scripts that can be triggered at any time using toolbar buttons or keyboard shortcuts, making the nova mac workflow remarkably efficient.

For those who are curious: Nova has built-in support for CoffeeScript, CSS, Diff, ERB, Haml, HTML, INI, JavaScript, JSON, JSX, Less, Lua, Markdown, Perl, PHP, Python, Ruby, Sass, SCSS, Smarty, SQL, TSX, TypeScript, XML, and YAML.

It is also highly extensible, featuring a robust API and a built-in extension browser for expanding its capabilities.

(Here's a fun little behind-the-scenes story about the editor. During beta testing, we discovered several bugs in Apple's text layout engine that we simply could not work around or fix. Our solution? Writing our own custom text layout manager… completely from scratch. This not only resolved all of those bugs but also significantly boosted the overall performance of our editor. We definitely do not mess around when it comes to nova download and delivering quality on Mac!)
