Folder Hub is an application designed for quick access and searching of files and folders within your working directory on Mac.

What problems does Folder Hub solve?

- In our everyday work, we frequently deal with numerous files and folders, typically organizing them into various directories for different projects. However, accessing specific project files often requires navigating through multiple layers of nested folders, which can be time-consuming and frustrating.

- Accidentally closing a folder window means you will need to browse through the entire folder structure all over again just to locate the file you were working with.

- Even when the folder window remains open, accessing the files you need can be difficult because other active windows, such as a web browser, may obstruct your view and block the necessary content.

How does Folder Hub solve these problems (interaction design)?

By default, the Folder Hub window is hidden beneath the MacBook notch area. When you move the mouse cursor into the notch region, the Folder Hub window becomes visible, and when you move the mouse away from the window, Folder Hub hides itself again automatically.

When displayed, this folder hub file browser shows different workspaces, such as Desktop, Downloads, Project A, Project B, which are fully customizable by the user and contain the files and folders of the corresponding project. Switching between different workspaces is accomplished simply by hovering the mouse cursor over the appropriate area within the interface.

As a practical example, consider uploading images:

Suppose we need to upload images from "Project A" into a browser window. By moving the mouse to the notch area and then hovering over the "Project A" workspace, we can directly drag and drop images from that workspace into the browser window without any extra steps.
